This stands in the way of justice and constitutes an additional wrong; according to one victim, not being believed by the police \u2018was almost worse than the rape itself\u2019. In light of this, many have called for a \u2018right to be believed\u2019. But how can this be reconciled with the principle of \u2018innocent until proven guilty\u2019? And when, if at all, do we have a right that someone should believe our testimony?
